Fading Shadows Ch 4 (pt 1)
Fadingpaw was very busy for the next moon, between her own training and taking care of Nightpaw and Cherrypaw. Each day was a whirlwind of training, hunting, patrols, play-fighting, and lots and lots of chatting. At the end of it, Fadingpaw collapsed into her nest and slept for as long as she could, so that way she’d have energy to do it all over again the next day. She didn’t really mind, though. She enjoyed hanging out with the other apprentices, since they all got along.
And she enjoyed hanging out with Thrushpaw even more.
As time went on, she began to like the handsome and friendly tom more and more, until finally she both found herself being more comfortable around him and anxious to be something more with him. Whenever she saw cats with their mates, she always watched them wistfully and daydreamed about her and Thrushpaw.
It was a moon after Nightpaw and Cherrypaw arrived in WindClan that Fadingpaw got wonderful news from Spikedtuft.
“All six of you are coming to the Gathering tonight,” he told all of the apprentices, when the sun was in the middle of the sky. He left before all the apprentices could start talking over each other in excitement.
“A Gathering?” Cherrypaw echoed, her eyes bright. “We’re actually going to a Gathering?”
“I haven’t been to one in ages!” Gorsepaw exclaimed. “It’s been moons!”
“It’s been two,” Thrushpaw informed him.
Fadingpaw, Nightpaw, and Pearpaw were a little more reserved.
“What happens at a Gathering?” Nightpaw asked Fadingpaw, who looked down at him.
“All the Clans meet up under the light of the moon and the leaders share news and information with everybody,” Fadingpaw explained.
Nightpaw still looked confused, so Fadingpaw said, “We also get to meet other cats from the other Clans and hear cool stories.”
That seemed to get through to Nightpaw, and he started chatting happily with the other apprentices until it was time to leave for the Gathering.
When they finally arrived at the Gathering, a small pale tom immediately approached the group of apprentices.
“Your fur is so pretty!” he cried, bounding over to Cherrypaw. His eyes were wide as he excitedly ran circles around her.
Cherrypaw looked slightly confused at the sudden onslaught of attention, but then she quickly brightened up.
“Thanks! And so is yours,” she replied with a happy purr.
Fadingpaw had to agree with Cherrypaw; the tom’s fur was swirls of blue and gray like a cloud, and he had all the energy of a tornado as he launched into a no-doubt long-winded conversation with Cherrypaw.
“I think she’s going to be here for a while,” Fadingpaw whispered to the others, who nodded with amusement.
“Yeah, let’s leave her be,” Nightpaw agreed, as Cherrypaw sat down in front of the tom and began replying to the flurry of questions.
When they had gotten out of earshot, Gorsepaw said, “Wow, that tom was a lot.”
“He was so small, too,” Thrushpaw added. “He looked like a kit at first, but I think he talks more than the warriors do.”
“He talks more than us,” Pearpaw meowed. “Which is saying something.”
“More than you, you mean,” Fadingpaw put in, lightly cuffing Pearpaw’s ear.
The she-cat let out a mrrow and bounded away with a flick of her tail; Gorsepaw followed her more slowly, weaving his way through the crowd of cats, with Nightpaw close behind.
That left Fadingpaw alone with Thrushpaw, and her pelt prickled with embarrassment. Should she try and talk to him now? No. Gathering’s weren’t very romantic. She put the thought out of her mind. Instead, she felt that just hanging out with him would suffice, and she opened her mouth to say so when a yellow tabby with brown stripes bumped into her.
Part two is in the first book of Omen of the Stars!

Alright I’m back…
“Now… where did they all go?”
🦗🦗🦗
“Ah yes. They all went back to those… clan home thingys…”
“Hmmm. If I assume human form, they will attack me but they might get suspicious on why they can’t even harm me… Maybe if I take on a cat form… they might… not attack me? I don’t know but let’s try.”
My body changed from a human to a cat within seconds.
“Should I add design? Hmmmm….. I should be careful and stay low so they can’t see my symbol… and avoid attacking them because I know how that’s gonna end.”
I’m tired so ima stop there but ima let you guys continue the story on your own if u want to. Please say that I’m the person who started it. No stealing it from me!!!!
Shimmer: Thank you! I typically like to put myself into other stories and shows and etc. etc. Usually I use the Imaginator version of me and sometimes I put other me’s which sounds weird Ik but I like to make myself the main character in the stories I make. Another version of me is like Venom in a way except it’s a whole other species and different rules. I also have a really creepy version of me which pretty much all he is is like a vigilante who brings justice to bad guys and tortures CERTAIN people to teach the world a lesson (This is the only version of me that’s possible, idk how possible though). He’s pretty much consider many things and has a whole lot of people following him who either just want to help him or want the same thing. I gave that version of me a sad backstory…. But the ending is happy! A lot of stuff in the middle just like Imaginator….
Also I made a Wings of Fire ish version of me but the story is different. (It’s based off of Wings of Fire and is the first or next book/maybe TV series I wanna make/do) In there I’m an ice dragon who gets special powers and stuff (not animus magic but the dragons in that series have all kind a of powers mainly related to the type of dragon they are) and gets targetted by a very old king dragon dude that wants me as his successor but thats only the first 3 books/seasons I have planned for that. I have myself the name “Blizzard” cuz it’s the only name I could think of… also I’m not that good on writing/typing up stories… I need to work on punctuation (mainly commas and all that) and adding things that make it seem like an actual book rather than what I said earlier: “very old king dragon dude” although that could work… since I’m technically the Narrator since I’m the author/creator of those stories…. But anyways I do my best. I mainly play video games and watch TV (I need to do more though) and I’m very lazy probably because I’m in my teenage years rn so things are gonna taking longer than I want them to… 😭😭😭😭 also idk what else to say…
