Customer Reviews
Enjoyable
While the story obviously never happened, it’s a great read and great entertainment, from the story of the switch to the breathtaking suspense of the moment when the real king might have been rejected. I consider the character Tom Canty to be a noble person, and an honest one in his readiness to insist the real king have the throne. Few people of today will do that. Excellent book!
Mark Twain
A fantastic novel exploring social inequality and criticizing class structures in 16th-century England through the story of two boys who switch places.
Tis but a masterpiece!
The character development is outstanding; the detailed description of various settings (eg. river pageant) is spectacular; and the themes, satirical prose, and episodic storytelling is stellar.
All in all, the best AI models have Mark Twain written all over it!
