Publisher Description
He recovers lost treasure for a living. She's been stealing hers for thousands of years. Together, they chase the kind of treasure that gets average people killed.
From eleven-time USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Hunter comes the first novel in a new paranormal mystery series for lovers of treasure hunts, twisted immortal politics, and slow-burn tension.
Ben Vecchio has spent his life around vampires without becoming one. He's the human half of an antiquities partnership with Tenzin, a wind vampire old enough to remember when Manhattan was farmland. Their business? Finding things other people can't.
Their newest client is missing a painting stolen from her family during the Second World War. But what should be a simple recovery job drops Ben and Tenzin into the middle of a feud between the earth vampires who run Manhattan's underworld from behind the polish of old money and older grudges.
The vampires of Manhattan want this painting to disappear. Ben and Tenzin want to get paid. Getting out of this labyrinth alive will take more than a good eye for forgeries and a brilliantly timed heist. It will take everything they know about surviving a city where one wrong step makes you a vampire's next meal.
Friends become enemies. Enemies reveal truths, and the more time Ben and Tenzin spend together, the harder it is to ignore the simmering tension between them.
Midnight Labyrinth is a thrilling vampire adventure perfect for readers who crave supernatural intrigue, slow-burn tension, and unforgettable characters.

Hooked
I do like this series and the detailed characters are interesting. Sometimes the plot too wrapped up for me...would love a little more detail on some of the physical romance...
Favorite new book while commuting to work
This book is absolutely incredible! I originally discovered it because I was looking for something light & fun to read on my commute to & from work on the train. Little did I know that I’d be immediately in love with this story & can’t stop talking about it to my friends! I’m so happy to learn that there are multiple books in this series and other series that exist! I’m so excited to start the next book! This definitely makes my day when reading this book!
I wish I could give EH 10 stars!
Oh my goodness Elizabeth, you did it again! I fall in love with Ben and Tenzin (shipped: Benzin) more and more with each story. EH weaves such a captivating story from beginning to end each time she publishes a new book. You have made me become accustomed to such great writing that no ordinary book or author will do anymore, and I sincerely thank you for that!
Benzin pick up back in NY, and Ben is immediately enamored by a set of paintings at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), and a certain girl who claims to be the artists great-granddaughter. Ben finds out that this set is actually a set of 3, but only 2 are in the museum. So, being the chivalrous and kind hearted man that he is, he talks Tenzin into helping him find the missing painting.
What ensues will make you have all the feelings. Especially if you like to ship Ben and Tenzin like I do, you’ll hope, pray and plead that they somehow, someway, finally become BENZIN.
So, does Ben find the painting? Will he win the mysterious girl, or will he finally let down his guard long enough to realize his feelings for Tenzin? Guess you’ll have to read it to find out! 😉
P.S. her next Benzin read is coming out soon! Feb. 12, Blood Apprentice will be out and we’ll be able to fall back into the story of Ben and Tenzin!
