Publisher Description
The sins of the past will burn you.
Four nights. Three days. The human son of two powerful vampires has been taken from his home, and if Carwyn and Brigid can’t find him, the delicate balance of power in an immortal haven might just go up in flames.
Las Vegas holds a special appeal in the immortal world. It’s a city of darkness, debauchery, and vice; a city where inhibitions are low and blood runs hot.
Rose Di Marco and Agnes Wong have been running this city as immortal bosses for nearly a century, but when their son is kidnapped, they turn to their neighbors for help.
Carwyn and Brigid know how to find the lost, but what they don’t know is why Zasha Sokholov, a Siberian fire vampire and offshoot of an old crime family, became fixated on them. Carwyn has his suspicions, but all Brigid can think about is a fifteen-year-old boy who’s been taken as bait. She’ll need a clear head and the help of some unexpected allies to find him.
Bishop’s Flight is the fourth book in the Elemental Covenant series by Elizabeth Hunter, ten-time USA Today Bestselling author of the Irin Chronicles and the Elemental Mysteries.
“We may try to run from our past, but it finds us. We can put continents—even millennia—between us, but in the end, the sins of the fathers will come back to visit.”

Carwyn and Brigid in Las Vegas
Earth vampire Carwyn has always been one of my favorite characters throughout the Elemental books. Since he hooked up with fire vampire Brigid we see an entirely different side to his personality. The pair together are exquisite. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts. In “Bishop’s Flight” they are heading to Las Vegas to find the 15 year old human son of the two vampires that control Las Vegas and the surrounding area. Their time is limited so they are racing against the clock. They are also up against an enemy from a former book, a very old fire vampire called Zasha Sokholov, whose motives Brigid is trying to uncover while trying to locate captive, Lucas. A great face paced story that fits into the Elemental universe. Carwyn and Brigid’s back and forth banter ranges from funny to serious to heartwarming to sexy. We have seen Brigid’s struggle since her first appearance as a human and as a vampire. Carwyn gives her the loving support that she so desperately needs. She turned a corner in this book that was good to see. The couple’s human computer expert, Lee, came along on this job. He works with Lucas’ human bodyguard Miguel, showing the reader that vampires don’t depend on humans for blood alone. I recommend this book to vampire and paranormal fans, fans of Elizabeth Hunter, and anyone settling down for a good, interesting story. I have read all the Elemental stories in order from the beginning and I can’t wait for more.
Loved
Another smash hit as usual. Loved every second.
Bishop’s Flight
Bishop’s Flight by Elizabeth Hunter
Elemental Covenant series #4. A spin off from the Elemental Legacy series. Paranormal mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series as there is an overall ARC. This book isn’t necessarily a cliffhanger, but there are unfinished issues at the end that will be part of the next book.
Carwyn Bryn and Brigid Connor are elemental and altruistic vampires. In this story, they travel to Las Vegas to search for a kidnapped son of the vampire leaders of the city. Proof of life is received but there is a deadline that must be met or the boy’s life will be forfeited.
Carwyn and Brigid use both their detective skills and their vampire abilities to search for clues knowing the kidnapping may have been directed at them as an underlying goal.
Intense. The game of chess has been around for a long time and the use in this storyline is impressive with descriptions of pieces in history and their importance by Lucas. His analysis and ability to express his thoughts make him brave and able to quasi remove himself, at least mentally, from his perilous situation. I hope we eventually get to see more of Lucas.
From the author notes, the next book will merge with the Legacy series so now is the best time to catch up!
