Fun Read
ONE CRAZY FLING by Jennifer Skully is book 6 of the Mystery of Love series. This was a fun serial romance about BeeBee Barton going to France. Note, this is the first of a longer story, so it does not wrap up the romance though the novella is truly engaging.
The story centers on BeeBee and her ticking biological clock. She's in love with Theo Swann and his sweet, three-month-old baby girl, but Theo was deeply hurt by his wife when she abandoned him and his infant daughter. BeeBee is certain he'll never get over his ex, so she hides her feelings from Theo and pours all her pent up love on his daughter, FaceTiming with them while she's in France.
BeeBee so desperately wants a baby of her own. When she meets Philippe, a handsome Frenchman, she's tempted to have a fling with him and accidentally get pregnant. She's on his bed and ready to go through with it until he tells her he hopes to one day have a family of his own. She realizes it would be wrong to get a baby by manipulation.
BeeBee considers artificial insemination, but what she really wants are Theo and his baby girl. When BeeBee returns home to prepare for her friend's wedding, Theo is there. You have to read the next book, MYSTERY OF LOVE, to find out what happens with BeeBee and Theo.
This is a fun, short read with a whole generation of quirky characters. The story gives you a taste of France from the countryside to the food. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book to see what happens with BeeBee and Theo.
