You won't regret buying this.
Let me start by saying that this is not your average YA paranormal novel, it is anything but that. Refuge is full of vampires, werewolves, and magical creatures, yet it isn't anything like you would expect. Usually I'm able to predict the outcome of books like this based on the fact that most authors have the same ideas and plots about vampires, werewolves, etc., but this is definitely not the case. Every time I went to turn the page, I could never guess what would happen. Karen Lynch went above and beyond with the world she created. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to find a book that finally had me sitting on the edge of my seat, hanging at its every word. Throughout the book, it was easy to feel the main character's emotion. I was ecstatic, upset, on the verge of tears, you name it. This has easily became one of my favorite series, and I will be buying the third book with no doubt of being disappointed. Great job, Karen.
