Publisher Description
In glittering Victorian London, appearances matter, reputations are everything, and a lady’s heart is far too precious to be gambled away.
Lady Sarah Roseington has spent years resisting every attempt to steer her toward a convenient match. She dreams not of rank or riches, but of a marriage built on affection, trust, and freedom. The last man she should ever consider is Lord Julian Carrington, the Marquess of Luvington—a notorious rake whose name has long been linked to scandal.
Julian needs a respectable bride, and quickly. Sarah is everything he should want in a wife: lovely, clever, accomplished, and beyond reproach. Yet the more time he spends in her company, the less this becomes a matter of duty and the more it becomes a matter of the heart. For Sarah is unlike any woman he has ever known—spirited, discerning, and far too perceptive to be won by charm alone.
As their uneasy courtship deepens into something far more intimate, Sarah begins to glimpse the man beneath Julian’s reputation. But just as hope begins to bloom, a shadow from his past returns, threatening to undo their fragile happiness before it can truly begin.
From London ballrooms to the wild romance of Scotland, this emotional Victorian love story is filled with yearning, scandal, tenderness, and a hero who must fight not merely to win a bride—but to prove himself worthy of her heart.

Scandalous Intentions
This was cute short story that had some redeeming features. There was the humor from the Duchess of Abernathy again. She is the sound of reason so far in the series. She gives good advice to the young people who need it. I found the H, Julian, to be really likable despite his reputation. Sarah, in the other hand, was too prim and proper, as well as judgmental before giving people a chance. Somehow, Julian found his way into her heart and she fell in love with him but didn’t tell him. There is a little steam after marriage but nothing too explicit.
