When King Rhex Vallen and his friends Sander, Jaeger and Cassian are nearly killed on a secretive mission, Rhex takes it upon himself to learn who was behind the hit. Before he gets started, a mysterious woman visits him at Vallen Keep with news that he and the kings are in danger. Her and her ex-Mossad colleagues promise to keep Rhex updated on any further potential threats, but decline to give him more information. She disappears, leaving him with unanswered questions.
