Francesca Rossi, his ex-partner.
His ex-everything.
He hasn’t seen Frankie since she left him eight years ago

that could break them both.
But when Shawn’s world is turned upside down by the news

Frankie stuns him by being an unlikely ally.
The more they’re together, the more the walls between them begin to crumble

But their past comes with wounds that run deep
and the present holds danger neither of them see coming.
Until suddenly, they aren’t just fighting for love.
They’re fighting for their lives.

The Grifter
Frankie and Shawn’s story is a complicated one. They’ve been partners and “more” in the past and are now working a dangerous undercover project together. Things are strange enough, then throw in Shawn finding out he has a 3 yr old daughter from a one night stand, and that makes things even more complicated. The two work together well trying to bring down a cunning and dangerous drug dealer, then things turn horrifying. On the edge of your seat action from then on, but an HEA is in the future!
Really enjoyed The Grifter.
This book was so good. I was on the edge of my seat through most of it waiting for the other shoe to drop. A lot of suspense along with fantastic characters and the romance between Frankie and Shawn. A must read.
Something soft yet Prickly
I’ve gotta say I’ve been waiting for this book to be released and as usual Kimberly Kincaid does not disappoint.
The Intelligence Unit is at it again and this time they’re trying to take down a particularly nasty villain. When detective Shawn Maxwell finds himself going undercover with an Ex Partner he hasn’t seen in nearly 8 years, you know things are about to get tense.
Detective Frankie Rossi has her own reasons for being shoulder deep in this case, coming all the way from Atlanta to ensure that a murderous drug kingpin gets taken down for good.
Together, they have to face a past long buried deep by both of them only to find out that they are still a great team despite their years apart.
In the end, they are shaken by events that pull at their emotions and resolve, grounded by the innocence of a wide eyed little girl.
I give it a million stars!
