Disappointing ending to an otherwise great series.
The Field Party Series has been one of my favorite series by Abbi Glines, but this last book was disappointing. It felt very rushed and instead of getting closure and enjoying everyone’s HEA’s, I was left with many unanswered questions. A couple of storylines were thrown in there so randomly and then never brought up again, which makes me wonder why they were included in the first place. For example, Ezmita sees Asa at her parent’s shop hugging “a tall, leggy, gorgeous blonde” but the woman was never mentioned again and there was no explanation for her appearance in the story. Some parts felt very unrealistic and were hard to enjoy, like the way Nash and Tallulah were already making out before addressing the drama that happened between them. However, as I mentioned before, this series has always been a favorite and the first three books will always be comfort books for me. That is why I’m rating it 3 stars. Overall, this series holds a special place in my heart but sadly, I’m dissatisfied with the ending.
