Some useful ideas, but huge blindspot

I've grown businesses as a sales executive faster and bigger than Hubspot. I've used their product and I'm a fan, but the author is a victim of his background, as are many sales and business leaders. There are some good ideas here (ignore the hiring profile section, it's wrong, read "The Challenger Sale" instead) the compensation, marketing/sales SLA guidance and commitment to enablement and coaching are all solid ideas. Here's the issue. Sales doesn't create value, it extracts value. And value has 3 components- functional, emotional and economic. Hubspot's value proposition is 100% economic- "grow revenue, save money". That's a DRAMATICALLY lower bar compared to the other 2. So beware. Unless your value prop is 100% economic, many of these ideas will not translate effectively into your business. Btw, I don't blame the author here, he just has limited experience. I trust he's exceptional at what he does and congratulate him on his success.
