“I didn’t sign up to die a hero.” ~ Caleb.
Chen Hung closes in.
The nine systems hang perilously close to a second fatal Blackout.
Billions of lives are at stake.
Does Captain Caleb Shepperd have what it takes to save the nine systems, or just himself?
Caleb never wanted to be a hero. That was his brother’s dream. Keep it simple, get away clean. Flying a ship packed with explosives into Janus orbit station isn’t simple, and there ain’t no way he’s getting away clean.
He knows the Fenrir Nine have sent him on a suicide mission, but he’s not about to lay down his life for them. He’s not a hero, and he sure ain’t no fool despite what the Nine must think. There’s another way, he just has to figure it out before the bomb he’s carrying ticks down to zero.
One survived; against the odds, the brutality, and the betrayal, she survived. But inside, in the part of her that’s real, she’s broken. Broken in ways that cannot be fixed.
She’s going back to where it all began, to Janus—to Chitec, to the ‘man’ who made her. It will take all that she is, all that she was, and all that she could be, to save the nine systems from the synthetics.
She will not fail.
“I am One, and I cannot be stopped.”

Novel length: 58,000 words
I am reading the Revolution and I must have been sleepy. My words. Protocol: missed many details of these books that I thought I enjoyed reading in detail. Total reboot: readjusted mindset and decided to relive by rereading. OUTCOME: better the second time reading. The best space opera. And one more book to complete. OUTCOME: success to Pippa
Just when you think you have it figured out the author throws you a curve! Caleb and Fran have a mission to destroy Janus and hopefully it will destroy Hung. One is on a mission to destroy the machine who killed her by whatever means she can. As you read this book have the Kleenex ready because you will shed some tears. Bren, I consider him the secret weapon.
Read this excellent story with lots of plot twists and surprises! The ending will open your eyes and you will want more! I look forward to the next book in the series ! Infinite stars!
Great, great read.
Just completed the, "Girl from Above" series through #4. All of the books in this series were great. Really kept a great pace and excellent action. A very good balance of science, action and some seriously (and a bit nasty) sexuality. My favorite not too heavy on the "sci" is the "Fire Fly" series and movies and this series is right there with the, although it would need to be on HBO to get the sexuality component like it is in the books!
Really recommend this series.
