AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
There’s no escaping the pull of desire in this novel in #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan’s Torpedo Ink motorcycle club series.
When Czar shut down Lazar “Keys” Alexeev’s undercover mission, that should have been the end of the story. Instead, Keys is back in the middle of a nowhere town where a petite redhead with a pouty mouth and a ready smile drives him to distraction. He’s not sure why he’s breaking all of Torpedo Ink’s rules to spend more time around a woman who’s not even his type. He can’t get her out of his head—and now he’s facing the consequences.
Lyric Johansen doesn’t like to look anyone in the eyes, but Keys’s gaze is the one thing keeping her from a full-on panic attack. Her instinct to charge into the fray and help the biker fend off a group of vicious thugs has led to the most insane situation she’s ever been in: trapped in a coffin with a man she barely knows, minutes away from a painful death.
Survival means staying focused. But when Keys kisses Lyric to snap her out of losing it, he’s the one who ends up falling apart. He’ll need to unleash hell to get them out alive.
If only to get another taste….

Terrific Addition to the Series
What a great start to this story! The dialogue between Lyric and Keys is terrific too. This book was a pleasure to read. Lyric is a well thought out character with her own issues, and it was great learning about Keys. Not so great is the repetitive backstory telling us once again about Torpedo Ink’s origins … it’s okay to include that stuff as part of the disclosures and discussions Keys needs to give Lyric but please stop trying to explain it to any new readers as part of the narrative. Christine Feehan needs to believe in her fans knowing and remembering the backstory. The Torpedo Ink characters and plot lines are wonderfully complex. Many of us re-read previous Torpedo Ink titles to refresh our memories in anticipation of each new title. New readers cannot be starting anywhere but at the very beginning of the Torpedo Ink series. Maybe each new title should include a warning for new readers to start at Judgment Road. It is a journey well worth the time.
Loved this one
Really loved this one. Loved the relationship and how it started right off the bat.
So disappointing!
This book was so disappointing! I normally love everything that Christine writes, but this book was boring. Everything I come to expect from her books was not there. I feel like we’re getting regurgitated storylines and no great detail in any of the scenes. I hardly knew where I was most of the time which is not normally the case so my recommendation is either read it just for the fact that it’s a Christine Feehan book or don’t, but I don’t recommend it.
