Hunt for justice
Pretty good story as expected by this author. Like other Willa stories there is tons of description based narrative and not enough actual dialogue for my preferences. Her frustration with the trial needn’t have taken so much space as while it tells about her thinking, so much wasn’t necessary. Endings by this author leave me wondering if she gets sick of the book so while a very long slow build it all just suddenly wraps up and you are done. I like the remembrances from 60s-70s. A few items left unresolved so probably they carry into the next one but it was annoying to not have answers

Judge Willa Carsons mother and her new husband have convinced her to look into the possible innocentice of a thirty year old murder. A young woman was convicted of the murder of her husband without any real evidence, just the opinions of very powerful who control the town’s opinions and loyalty. What then ensues is a twisted tale on injustice from the pillars of the community of Tampa Florida who will do whatever it takes to keep the past buried. Another excellent read in this series!! Enjoyed immensely!!
