Love visiting Fool's Gold
I really enjoy this series, and always look forward to new books in the series. This installment didn't disappoint. I love that the big bad mystery man has a soft side, as does the all business Taryn. So happy that they find each other, though I did find the ending a little abrupt.
It's always a great time to visit Fool's Gold!
This is Angel and Taryn's story. He lost a wife and child to a tragic car accident and he blames himself because he wasn't there to save them. Taryn had an abusive past and finds it extremely difficult to trust anyone. The two start dating and agree to no-strings-attached and no-getting-serious rules. They haven't figured out that you can't help what your heart feels.
I always love going back to visit Fool's Gold. This was a good visit. It just wasn't my favorite visit. I just did not feel any chemistry between Angel and Taryn. It was more like they were best buddies. Even the sex had no heat to it. I expected more from the take charge, bossy, Taryn and the uber sexy, ex-military man, Angel. The story line was great and of course, all the characters were fantastic. We even got a glimpse of Eddie and Gladys, which is always a hoot! My favorite part of the whole book was Angel being a FWM Grove Keeper and all the little ones. So sweet! I can't wait for my next visit to Fool's Gold in Before We Kiss.
