When your soul mate is the man you loathed at first sight…Book Two in Sarah Ready's Soul Mates in Romeo series sparkles with tension and a delicious helping of swoon-worthy romance.
Veronica Diaz loves her career, her friends and the great outdoors – she has no room in her life for men. In fact, she knows there are only two types of men in the world: players and wanna-be players and she wants nothing to do with any of them.
So when a psychic informs Veronica that her fated soul mate is Frederick Knight "The King of Players," Veronica does what any sensible woman would do – she runs.
A twist of fate lands Veronica in the depths of a pitch-black cave system with a man she's never met and can't see. As Veronica and Sam struggle to survive they open up, share their secrets, and risk their lives for each other. Soon Veronica starts to wonder if maybe not all men are players, and maybe she can trust Sam enough to fall in love.
The only problem: Sam is actually Frederick Knight. The man Veronica swore she'd never, ever, ever love.
In fact, she loathed him at first sight.
And if they make it out of the cave alive, and Veronica sees him for the first time, she'll loathe him again. Won't she?
But maybe, sometimes you can only see who someone really is when you can't see them at all? And maybe you can only fall in love when it's not at first sight?

Enjoyable
Sarah Ready is a relatively new author to me. I found Love Not At First Sight an entertaining story that ticked a lot of boxes for me.
This is Veronica Diaz and Frederick Knight (aka Sam)’s story. When a psychic predicts the man of her dreams is Frederick Knight, an absolute player, a man that she has met and disliked on sight, Veronica is determined to avoid him at all cost.
However fate often works in mysterious ways and when Veronica and Sam land themselves in a heap of trouble at the bottom of a cave they need to lean on each other to survive. In the darkness they open up to one another and trust is given.
The characters are engaging, and I found them easy to like and relate too. This was a quirky story that had me invested from the start. What happens when all is revealed and Veronica learns that Sam, the man she put her trust in, is actually the man she cannot stand, Frederick?

Fun, entertaining read
Love Not at First Sight is not a long read but it’s still a fun, entertaining read that will appeal to a wide range of audiences. This is Veronica Diaz and Frederick (Sam) Knight’s story. The local psychic enjoys predicting who will find their soulmate next and this time around she predicts Veronica will find the man of her dreams tomorrow and his names is Frederick. Frederick is everything she despises in a man, he is a cocky playboy and she is determined to avoid him. A trip hiking is just what she needs until she sees a man who doesn’t seem to know what he is doing, when she follows him she finds herself in a heap in top of Sam at the bottom of a cave. Fate seems to have thrown these two together and as they find their way out of the underground caves they build up trust and friendship but what will Veronica do when she finds out Sam is a really Frederick….. This is a fun, entertaining read, I smiled, I giggled, I swooned, I sighed as I joined this pair on their journey, I found myself cheering them on and I really didn’t want their story to end. Great read that I highly recommend.
