Publisher Description
While testing her skills as a pickpocket, Alex learns she has talents no one could have anticipated. The spells that prevent her from reaching her full potential have an unexpected side effect. While the enchantments are a curse, they're also proving to be surprisingly useful.
The fae emissary they've been waiting for finally arrives to whisk Alex and Crowmon to the faery realm. They need to find out all they can about the old gods that they suspect are stirring. Their main goal is to find out where they're being imprisoned, so they can make sure it's still secure. If the ancient deities escape, all realms will be in peril.
Agent Steel sends two of his colleagues to assess Alex's new abilities. They will aid the team to solve a mission involving several lone female werewolves who have gone missing. The squad will need to be on full alert with so many enemies lurking around, waiting for the opportunity to strike.

Seriously loving this book series!!
I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
I am loving this series! The Shifter Squad Next Gen just continues to grow on me.
I was happy to see the story switch back to Alex. To see that she is continuing to grow and discover that the tattoos etched into her skin by the witch are actually giving her powers that are proving to be beneficial to her and the other members of the squad. How much are her powers of necromancy enhanced by the tattoos? Is that why Yas, Emma and Ike have such a special bond with Alex?
Crowmon and Alex finally get to travel to the land of faery, but it looks like they will have to return to gather more information on the old gods. And it looks like the curse of Alex has followed her to faery because I think she may have made an enemy of one of the male faeries….
Harlan has been readily accepted into the squad and has bought some awesome skills with him. A bit of a surprise toward the end with Jax making an appearance (I won’t spoil it for you...) but what is this new link that can be felt in Alex?
I am looking forward to the next book where I know we will get more twists and turns to this story and also to see what Gedniah wants with Brynn. Is romance on the cards for another member of the squad?
As always a great read for anyone who enjoys a great fantasy story. Well done J C – keep the stories coming!!
