Maui Companion is first and foremost a travel guide for the island of Maui. It covers the Valley Isle, as well as the four smaller islands; Molokai, Lanai, Niihau and Kahoolawe. Visit towns and villages along the way and mega resorts on the south and west side of the island, with gorgeous white sand beaches and lush surrounding valleys with large cascading waterfalls. Along the way, we will stop at some of the best beaches in the world.

Island hop on a regional airline or take a ferry to one of the smaller islands like Molokai or Lanai, for a day trip, where you can visit the world’s tallest sea cliffs at Kalaupapa, or see the incredibly unique Garden of the Gods (Keahiakawelo) on Lanai.

The Road to Hana
We picked up this book because we have never done the Road to Hana. At best it is a scary ride but when it is crowded, it is down right dangerous. The book does a great job of describing the route and with travel restrictions to Hawaii starting to ease, we thought this would be a great time to do the drive while the traffic is lighter.
Road to Hana - Wow!
We were getting cabin fever so my wife picked up a few travel books. It is not the same going there but it does open up the world for you. The pictures in the book really gives you a good feeling about the island and what you are likely to see. A welcome relief from the boredom of being at home.
