Weddings, family drama and murder
I was quite surprised that the main focus in this book was still on the case. There was a dress fitting, there was a family dinner and of course there was a wedding reception, but this book was also very much about murder and finding the murderer. However, of course the murder was linked to the wedding and the bride had to find a new wedding cake. Whoops!
I really enjoyed this case! Mostly because I liked how it tackled all the "usually..." and "statistics claim..." while still going another direction. I have to admit that I personally would have loved to read a little more on the motive eventually. Of course, the motive is heavily implied, but I still would have loved an on page confession.
I also really loved the romance and the family drama in this book. It's clear that our heroine found her hero and yet there are still issue they need to discuss and I like how they know they can just bring it up. I also love how disfunctional this family sometimes seems to be. I think it's part of the reason why the authors can just keep on going with this series.
And as long as they write new books for this series I will read them.
