Much Knowledge Gained
Superior information about Lippizaners, their breeding and training. I felt at times I was right there in the story. Having been to Vienna and watched training and a live performance I feel fortunate. The same is true of having traveled a bit in Austria - it brings the story to life.
Horse Love
Mary Stewart was one of my favorite authors and this was one of my favorite books as a teenager. Finally they are available on the internet. Unbeatable stories set in exotic locations with smart interesting women in charge. More than partially responsible for my desires for a challenging career and international travel.
