Perfectly Paired

Tiffany Hayes has had her sights set on Sebastian Lowe for some time. He is Top’s sommelier and she is desperately drawn to him. She wants to get to know him, spend time with him if only he would let his guard down. War damaged his body and his soul as a double amputee Sebastian has had a hard time letting people in. Tiffany is determined to show him she is the one who can help heal his wounds and fight his demons. Sebastian is not going to make it easy for the feisty Tiffany but she is not one to give up on the people she loves.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Topped Series by Lexi Blake. She is at the top of my favorite writer's list and I drop everything to read one of her stories. This one really got to me on an emotional level. Sebastian has so many demons from the ones he fights because he lost both his legs to war and his family disowning him. Tiffany is just the right girl to help bring him out of his self-imposed emotional prison. When Sebastian and Tiffany start to build a relationship and he begins to relax and make friends with his co-workers it just made me smile.
I thought the chemistry between these two was spot on and I looked forward to their alone time. Even though Sebastian was holding back Tiffany wasn’t going to let him shut her out. When he realizes, he loves her and wants a life with her but is still torn as to whether he is good enough for her. Then the big twist I won’t give anything away but it’s a life or death hold your breath situation that brings it all to a close. This couple is truly Perfectly Paired.

As always with Lexi’s stories, there is some suspense and action to go along with the romance. I loved, love, loved it. Another great read for me. Highly recommend the series.

Nobody writes BDSM like Lexi Blake! She manages to create such wonderful characters that are full of humor, angst, love and hot sex! Sebastian and Tiffany are part of the Top spinoff series. It is so heartwarming to see Sebastian coming to grips with his war injuries, physically and mentally, and being able to accept the love of a very determined Tiffany. Could have been a novel instead of a novella!

Today is a day to celebrate, why you ask? Because Lexi has another book out, that’s why. I absolutely love the Masters and Mercenaries series, even the Topped series, which is a spin-off about the restaurant that Sean Taggart owns.
Waitress Tiffany Hayes gets thrown together with Dom and Sommelier Sebastian Lowe for an assignment set up by Big Tag. Tiffany has been trying to manipulate her way into spending time with the cranky dom But once she gets him, getting him where she wants him proves to be the hard part. He’s not only been heartbroken before, but he’s also been broken by his time in the service.
Both of them have pasts that they need to overcome that prove to be barriers. Big Tag makes his usual snarky appearance, which had me laughing hysterically. (You gotta give props to Charlie for dealing with him.) This was just an awesome read as always by Lexi.
