Publisher Description
Malibu, California—home to rock-and-roll gods and movie stars, the beautiful, the rich . . . and vampires.
Powerful and charismatic, Raphael is a Vampire Lord, one of the few who hold the power of life and death over every vampire in existence. Thousands call him Master and have pledged absolute loyalty on their very lives. But when, in a brazen and deadly daylight attack, a gang of human killers kidnaps the one female vampire he’d give his life for, Raphael turns to a human investigator to find his enemies before it’s too late.
Cynthia Leighton is smart, tough, and sexy—a private investigator and former cop who’s tired of spying on cheating spouses and digging out old bank accounts. When Raphael asks for her help in tracking down the kidnappers, Cyn’s happy to accept. But she soon realizes her greatest danger comes not from the humans, but from Raphael himself.
Battling Russian mobsters and treacherous vampires and betrayed by those they trusted, Cyn and Raphael find themselves fighting for their lives while caught up in a passion of blood and violence that is destined to destroy them both.

Loved it- Read them twice
I’ve been a fan of paranormal romance since my induction by Anne Rice. Got to say I was greatly pleased by this series. Ms. Reynolds Will not disappoint with her writing and ability to weave Such emotions from all her characters including the bad guys. These books have heartfelt romance, amazing sexy scenes that will make you need a cold shower, Good days, bad guys.....well, good vampires and bad vampires.
If you’re a fan of paranormal romance then this are a MUST READ.
Raphael
It should have been called Cynthia. The book was primarily about her and told in her POV. I really liked the story. I found Cynthia a little bipolar. She was smart, tough, fearless and totally insecure. I did have a hard time buying her decisions. I mean her pride led her more than it should. She's a trained police officer and pi. I understand she has a hard time recognizing love, but how could she not see. A power and wealthy vampire lord, if he didn't want her, had many opportunities to let her die, but he kept saving her. All in all, it was very exciting. I will purchase next book, really no choice. Hope Cynthia is not whining too much. Enjoy!
