An original new series, with heart-pounding suspense and surprising twists.

Meet Louie Thorne. They didn't kill her--and they'll soon regret it.

When DEA agent Jack Thorne's house is stormed by vengeful drug lords, both he and his wife are shot dead. Only his daughter Louie survives--by using a terrifying power that defies reason.

Piecing together a life in his absence, Louie embraces her gift and her rage under the force of a single need: revenge.

She will destroy the men that took her family. No matter the cost, no matter how many bullets, she won't stop until justice has been well and truly served.

Shadows in the Water

Wow! I hardly know where to start. . . This was one of the most spellbinding, well thought out and entertaining books I’ve read in a long time. The heroine (?), Lou, kept me enthralled and you need to read the book to understand why I added the question mark!

I look forward to reading Kory M. Shrum many times in the future and expect to be as spellbound in any of the genre she cares to pursue.

Well done Ms. Shrum!

Shadows in the Water

As an avid reader, I was thrilled to discover Kory M. Shrum. I first was attracted to her DYING books and was so sad when I completed the entire series. I wanted more...more enthralling characters, more breathtaking suspense, more Kory Shrum novels!
And then I found it, the WATER series. I was hooked on the first book Shadows in the Water from page 1. Following the main character Lou Thorne, I was drawn into a life that was horrendous to even imagine. Gaining strength from the terror of her world, she moves through the days hell bent on revenge.
Others in her life...Robert King, Aunt Lucy, and Konstantine try to save her but, at the same time, need her to save them.
I held my breath as I followed Lou each time to La Loon and what lay in wait for her there.

“Shadows in the Water” kept me enthralled!

This is the first book in a long time that I had a difficult time putting down! The character of Lou Thorne and her ability is a stroke of genius. The story and characters kept the entire novel rolling seamlessly the entire time.
