Publisher Description

The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire saga soars to the mysterious land of the NightWings, where Starflight must face a terrible choice -- his home, or his friends?

In the shadows, trouble is brewing. . .

The mysterious NightWings keep everything hidden, from their home and their queen to their allegiance in the war. Now they've kidnapped their own dragonet of destiny, and Starflight is finally meeting the rest of his tribe -- whether he wants to or not.

The NightWings have also kidnapped several innocent RainWings, now trapped in the dark, barren, miserable place that is the NightWing kingdom. Starflight wants to help the RainWings, but he's busy saving his own scales and trying to find a way back to his friends. The fate of two kingdoms rests in his talons, and with no one to save him, Starflight will have to find a way to be brave . . . before it's too late.

Edit: Yes i am basically asking if i could help, and thank you sm!

Edit 2: She responded and said i could join- so i guess we are all one team now :D

Hi Shimmer! i tried asking the original ‘Adopt a WoF’ or ‘Adoptables’ if i could join the team but they never responded, so i’m asking you if i could join the crew? I already got 10-15 Oc ideas! Thanks <3

✨ OC ADOPTS + review ✨

This wasn’t my favorite book. It was very boring and a little disappointing, considering I like Starflight. But the plot was forgettable and not much really happened. It felt a little bit like filler, but the ending was the only high for the entire book.

And now about these adopts! Sorry they took so long I was supposed to do these ages ago but I haven’t had the mOtIvAtIoN to do it. But they’re here now, so enjoy!! Also I tried not to copy anything so if you have an OC that’s similar (or there is a character from the series that’s similar) it is NOT intentional <:

ExhraDragonet: as in you give me/help me with OCs for future adopts?? If so, ofc!

Adoption key:
🟢 = available
🔴 = taken
🟣 = depressed because friends/kin are taken
🔵 = 2 or more people want this OC

——— adopt 1 🟢 ———
Name: Frost
Age: 9 years old
Gender: female
Tribe: IceWing
Desc: shimmery pale blue scales with obsidian black eyes and a black choker collar with chains sewn into it with matching bracelets and an anklet. She also has obsidian earrings in the shapes of snakes.
Personality: cold, untrusting, has a VERY sharp tongue, and is kind of unpleasant to be around unless you know her well and you know her death threats are just empty words

——— adopt 2 🟢 ———
Name: Banana
Age: 4 years old
Gender: male
Tribe: RainWing
Desc: his scales change colors so quickly it’ll make your eyes hurt if you watch him too closely, so his friends try to avert their eyes from their psychedelic friend’s scale effects. When he has control of it, however, he keeps it at a nice yellow color like a banana
Personality: friendly, chipper, likes to hang out with his friends, hates being alone, and loves to eat mangoes (he hates bananas, funnily enough)

——— adopt 3 🟢 ———
Name: Nightgazer
Age: 15 years old
Gender: female
Tribe: NightWing
Desc: normal black NightWing, but the stars under her wings are an exact copy of the night sky, so she uses her wings as a portable star map. She also has lots of jewelry ranging from modest golden polished chains to extravagant necklaces with rare gemstones that were chosen to represent constellations, moons, planets, and galaxies.
Personality: doesn’t talk very much and is kind of sleep deprived because she spends her entire nights watching the sky when the weather’s good and charting star maps or writing out lesson plans (she teaches astronomy to dragons of any age who are interested in the heavens) when she can’t stargaze

——— adopt 4 🟢 ———
Penguin
Age: 4 years old
Gender: female
Tribe: IceWing
Appearance: pure white scales with obsidian black eyes
Personality: sweet, bright, and very compassionate for an IceWing. Hates being treated like a newborn dragonet by her brother, Snowstorm.

——— adopt 5 🟢 ———
Snowstorm
Age: eight years old
Gender: male
Tribe: IceWing
Appearance: silver scales with a murky blue tinge and strange gray eyes
Personality: very straight-to-the-point, can be a little rude sometimes, highly protective of his little sister Penguin

My review and something else

Edit: “Has it posted yet? Is it finally going to show?” - Me

I love this book. I love Starflight as well. He’s just so smart and I love how he finally mustered up enough courage to tell Sunny that he loved her. And I also love how much Fatespeaker is just all over him. PLUS the part when she met Sunny, it was adorable how Starflight reacted.

Now…I know how all of u like to post your OC’s plus their stories, but I’m trying something different. My “What If” Series/theories.

#1 - What if Starflight was born under the three full moons?
Now we all know that Darkstalker was also born under three full moons, so Starflight would have the same powers (minus the animus magic). This is personally one of my favorite “What If”’s because it would have made Starflight even more intelligent, PLUS I would have LOVED to see how StUpId Morrowseer would have looked being overpowered by a dragonet. He thinks he’s so great, just because he’s huge and a Nightwing. “Nightwings are natural leaders.” - Morrowseer Book 1. I would have loved for Starflight to have been able to say to his face, “You may be big, but which one of us has those ancient powers you’re always talking about?” Or what I would have wanted him to say before Morrowseer had died, “I can see the future and read minds. And in the future, no one will remember you.”
I know that was kind of dark, but it’s what I would have wanted. Either way, I love Starflight, and I loved this book.
Tell me what you all think of this. ☺️
