This instalment of the Shifter Squad Next Gen does not disappoint!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
When I received this book and found that it was written from Sydney’s point of view I wasn’t too sure how it would fit with the story that had so far been written from Alex’s point of view. But I was surprised at how well it fits into the storyline and gives us a bit more of an understanding of how the team members of the next gen work together.
I try not to give too much away in my reviews… but here goes!
On a night on the town Syd gets a lot more than she bargained for. Colton, the rex who tried to enthrall Syd before, happens across her on a night in Vegas and although he has been warned to leave Syd alone he sees it as his right to claim whichever “lesser feline” he wants. His treatment of Syd and his other “thralls” is BAD (to say the least) and her team are working to rescue her. The tiger shifter she met in Vegas is also working hard to find and rescue Syd from Colton’s clutches.
Has Fate intervened again to give Syd her true mate? Will the trials Syd is enduring show that she and Harlan are meant to be? And what plans does Fate have for the rest of the team?
But we are given an inkling of Fates’ plans for the Shifter Squad world.
This installment in the Shifter Squad Next Generation series does not disappoint. Another great read from J C Diem. As with all of her books I read this in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down and go to bed. Keep up the great story telling!
