Publisher Description
Alex and the rest of the squad are stuck with the unwanted alpha on their team despite the trouble he keeps causing. When they team up with another alpha werewolf and his pack during a mission, tensions rise and tempers flare. With luck, Franko will soon show his true colors and they'll finally be able to get rid of him.
While the spells restrict Alex from reaching her full potential, she can at least use her necromancy. She'll have the opportunity to practice her skills and maybe even expand on them. The more power she gains with her death magic, the less vulnerable she'll be, or so they all hope.
The witch is still lurking around, trying to lure the team into a trap. They'll have to remain vigilant as she creates new dangers for them to avoid. In the meantime, Yasmine has a particular skillset the squad has been looking forward to learning. The vampire will become their teacher as she trains them in the delicate art of thievery.

Another great read from JC Diem
I received an advance copy in return for an honest review.
As with the other books in this series, this next book does not disappoint. The curse of Alex strikes again – to no-one’s surprise. Although the spells binding Alex continue to restrict the development of her fighting skills, Alex shows that she has other skills that strengthen her place in the Shifter Squad, despite her fears of inadequacy.
After the squad teams up with another alpha werewolf and his pack to fight more unknown monsters Heath Franko shows his true colours, I really hope they come across him again and he gets what is coming to him! The older gen really should have listened to their children’s opinions about the alpha. Crowmon is continuing to redeem himself from his past but will he ever allow himself to remember what he is atoning for….
It was great to see that some members of the older generation Shifter Squad are back in the story (it’s like the caching up with old friends) even if it’s only for a little while. But Lexi and Reece really need to remember Alex is their daughter and to stop making decisions for her as the Supreme Alphas and try asking her what she wants! They need to trust that Alex knows her own heart, mind and soul and to trust in her choice of mate.
Irene is still hanging around causing problems for the squad, will they ever manage to catch her and put an end to the curse she has placed on Alex.
Can’t wait for the next book. Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a paranormal fantasy read.
